How to Pronounce the

Normally, we pronounce the with a short sound (like "thuh"). But when thecomes before a vowel sound, we pronounce it as a long "thee".

It is important to understand that it is what we say that matters, not what we write. It is the sound that matters, not the letter used in writing a word. So we use a long "thee" before a vowel sound, not necessarily before a vowel. Look at these cases:

Emphatic the [thee]
When we wish to place emphasis on a particular word, we can use "emphatic the" [thee], whether or not the word begins with a consonant or vowel sound. For example:

A: I saw the [thuh] President yesterday.
B: What! The [thee] President of the Republic Indonesia?
A: Yes, exactly!

Pertemuan 1-Tugas 3&4

Alright fellas, today i'll share you about "How to increase your english":

Firstly first, i urge you to bought an english dictionary, why? Because why not? I mean when i was 8 years old, i learn throught this dictionary, there is translation from Indonesia lang.-English, vocabulary, adverb, etc.

Second, go watch some movies, either you can go to nearby cinema or waiting in front of your television. You can also read the subtitle at the down below film while listening whatever the characters is talking about, so you should possibly understand enough of the plot story about the film.

Thirdly, i highly reccomend you to hang out with some fellow humans that use english as their "mother language", don't have some friends like 'em? go to internet dude, there is some forums or social media or even you can playing games and have chit-chat with them(please respect each other at internet).

Fourth, if you want to be an expert towards this english subject, go take some extra class, english lesson, or maybe you can also take English Literature at university.

Well i guess thats all of my tips to increase your English. Next i want to share how to make a great America coffe:

1. Take a clean and the finest mug.
2. Take an 1 teaspoon sugar, and also the coffe of course into the mug.
3. Also pour the hot water inside the mug, be very careful.
4. You can also give some condensed milk to make the taste even better.
